Cheap Flights

There a number of budget airlines operating all over the world that are able to offer their customers cheap flights. Cheap flights with budget airlines are becoming the norm for many travellers, particularly in Europe where a huge number of these cheap airlines operate.  These airlines are able to offer cheap flights by cutting expenses in other areas, and you’re unlikely to receive an in-flight meal or be able to watch a film when travel on a cheap flight operated by a budget airline.

Cheap flights have been heavily criticised by environmental campaigners in recent years, who argue that making such incredibly cheap flights available encourages more and more people to make unnecessary flights. This has a negative impact on the environment due to the extreme amounts of pollution caused by air traffic. However the environmental concerns raised have done little to deter people from frequently taking cheap flights.

Some airlines will run special offers where their prices are reduced even further. Ryan Air famously offered it’s customers cheap flights for as little as 1p, however they were criticised for advertising cheap flights at this price as customers were also required to pay various taxes which amount to the cost of about £30.

Although cheap flights are incredibly useful for people travelling short distances many people would not recommend flying a long haul flight with a budget airline. Many of the airlines offering transatlantic cheap flights are notoriously difficult to deal with.
